The atmosphere invites you to settle in, whether craving the calm of a breakfast plate that reminds you of home or the satisfying depth of a dinner that tastes like tradition folded into every bite. Here, food is more than sustenance—it’s a heartfelt conversation between kitchen and guest, filled with the kind of authenticity that comes from hands practiced in generations of recipes.
The dishes at Shannon’s feel like hugs from someone who remembers exactly how you like your comfort served. What an incredible place to eat. Delicious soul food, yes. Wonderful people behind the counter, yes. Felt more like eating food served by my family than a restaurant. Get here.

We were hungry for fried chicken and Shannon’s was highly recommended. We weren’t disappointed. The fried chicken was just like momma’s was! The breading was crispy and tasty and was exactly like we would have expected. The greens and sweet potatoes were so savory and complemented the meal. She gave us an oxtail and short rib to try and I would recommend both. If you haven’t tried Shannon’s, you’re missing out on some awesome home cooked southern food. We will be back!

We waited all week for Shannon’s lunch at work looking for forward to Fridays menu smothered pork chops!!! but this time I got to try the beef tips too. Let me tell u that stuff was cooked with LOVE!!! They smother the meat so it’s so tender and pour that gravy over white rice. The beans had some pork fat in it giving it that extra kick of flavor. Now the problem is I ate it so fast. Food is reasonably priced and you don’t have to wait long or drive around in circle looking for parking like downtown Bryan. After 3 circles of searching for parking downtown we came to Shannon’s. Quick service, great price, let’s with full belly.
